A new song from Lily. Its released under Lily Chou-Chou not Salyu, but its only available on the Japanese iTunes store  Its appropriately title ether. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTlH-4tt9Vo Its quite a long song but its very good. |

 Thank you! I would not have found this, but somehow you were made aware of it's existence and emergence. This post made me a very happy person. The song makes my stomach hurt and my head spin and my body get chills.. all in a good way! Thank you again for posting it.. It's wonderful to have another glimpse of the ether.. Oh how I wish there was more. You say it's "long" but I wish it never ended..

Usually I hate when a song out stays its welcome in terms of time but I agree with you and think this song should just go forever.
I'm not sure but I think this new release is just a one time thing in honour of it being 10 years, I would love though if we got another Lily Chou-Chou album one day.

It's very dependent on the song for me; but I don't mind and won't complain in this case. Wow, 10 years.. I wish my Japanese were stronger so that I could read the AALCC boards on mixi; they seem really active right now. I agree that it seems like a 1 time single (Those Japanese and their singles -.-), but it'd be nice to see more.. A glimpse of the ether can satiate me, but to be immersed in it...

Salyu held a special live under her persona as Lily Chou-Chou on the 15th just a few days ago. She performed all her LCC songs (plus a few Salyu ones) including the new track Ether and a new track called My Memory! Gosh! I'm so excited because according to this http://www.lilychouchou.jp/contribution/shikano_atsushi.html there'll be even more LCC music in 2011! Just imagine a whole new album of ether !  |

i love to know what happens there, it's a shame that we will probably never find out though, same deal with the novel. I wonder how the novel and the movie differs or if it's jut a straight novelization |

I´m afraid that the more Salyu starts to act like Lily Chou-Chou the more Lily becames Salyu. One can here it in the song - I don´t think it´s pure Lily.

Absolutely no guarantees, but I'm at a high-intermediate level of Japanese and I would be interested at the very least in translating the lyrics for the song "ether". In a few years when my level is higher... who knows. A fan translation of the novel would be a great way to test my skills.  |
